Safety Tip About Using Air Mattresses this Summer

The summer vacation season can bring extra guests to your home. If you choose to use an air mattress for additional sleeping space, be aware that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warns that air mattresses are generally too soft for sleeping infants, even when fully inflated. Air mattresses are intended for adults and older children. Infants may suffocate when placed on an air mattress. If you need additional sleeping space for an infant, a better alternative is to use a portable crib or play yard.
