Just in Time for the Holidays: Victorian Murders and Mayhem Tours
Come to the Farmers Branch Historical Park on the Thursday and Friday before Halloween to learn about famous and infamous Victorian murders, murderers, and mayhem. Inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe and real historical events, these tours will highlight some of the more interesting and haunting stories of the Victorian era. Learn about the “Servant Girl Annihilator”, a serial killer who stalked Austin, Texas, in 1885. Spot the murder weapon in the Victorian kitchen, used when a wife was pushed just a little too far. Explore the perils of Victorian clothing—it’s more deadly than you might think! These tours are presented in partnership with the Dallas Public Library. The themes of this tour are intended for an adult audience and no one under 16 years of age will be admitted.
